a company makeover following buyout

The Challenge

Doddle Learn was the subject of a new business buy out, and required significant investment throughout the business to re-launch into the online schools’ education market. The challenges were significant, mission critical in fact, as customers had been informed the business was about to close. Marketing communications were needed to inform customers, the market and the sector as a whole that Doddle was back in business. In addition, the business needed a new organisational structure to deliver on ambitious plans for growth, and new systems and processes in place to improve working practices.

The Transformation

As a member of the senior leadership team, Julie took charge of the sales and marketing department, and a team of 8. She embarked on a recruitment drive to bolster the account management team, and procured a new CRM and business management system to perform the central order processing, marketing and financial functions of the business.

Julie’s role also included recruiting an outsourced sales department, managing international sales agents, and overseeing the marketing strategy and implementation. Taking this ailing business and transforming its daily function was a huge undertaking, working in a fast-moving environment to make changes, keep staff engaged and motivated.

Doddle Learn was able to recoup its position in the market, and move quickly to serve customers, develop its product and relaunch a new brand and website. It also went on to launch a consumer product Doddle Academy.
