6 years ago, we produced a new website for Dawcul, one that demonstrated the company’s values and capability supporting their oil and gas clients across Europe.
Earlier this year, we revisited this site for James Bovill, Managing Director, and agreed it was time to make some changes to reflect how far the company has come, particularly in embracing the greener energy options in the energy sector.

The challenge
Whilst the oil and gas sector is not known for its green credentials, there have been great strides in technology helping it to transition towards a greener future. Our challenge was to reposition Dawcul to highlight the progress it has made in forging new partnerships with green energy providers, and in helping its customers to choose more efficient, greener technology wherever possible.
The transformation
We began with evolving the company logo and strapline, to modernise it and move away from the petrochemical message towards a more inclusive ‘partners in energy since 1977’ tag line, one that demonstrates the company’s longevity and close alignment with its customers.
For the new website, we set the scene with a new home page video to capture all of the energy sector fields in which the company operates, and to highlight some of the more environmentally friendly plants and partners that they are now involved with. We also created additional functionality, so that customers can search and match products with providers using a new search facility. We knew that the partners/products part of the old site was highly valued, and wanted to improve the customer experience here to save time and highlight quickly where each partner can help.
The About Us page now clearly demonstrates all of the areas where Dawcul adds value, and the reasons why so many customers choose Dawcul to facilitate large installation projects. By creating new web pages featuring each of the partners, we also improved SEO and visibility of the site.
The new regions page includes an interactive map with language translations and direct contact details for field sales representatives to encourage more direct enquiries within each country. We’ve also added a meet the team section to demonstrate the breadth of expertise and support Dawcul has to offer.
